day 5 – the word on the street

Where:
1. Meditation Class – honestly, I’ve never meditated before and the entire experience was a little freaky for me (and most of my classmates). No worries though, I’m going to keep with it. Many of the others in class said they couldn’t shut off the noise in their own heads. Sure hope it wasn’t politics related noise. I know sometimes I hear that “drill it” chant in my head, and it’s part of the reason I need to meditate.

Day 1 – The Word on the Street

Where:
1. Amish farm market up the street. No smiles, comments, no surprise. The cashier seemed more annoyed by my reusable bags than my shirt.
2. Our favorite Indian restaurant. The couple at the next table were talking about their frustration with Sarah Palin. They said she didn’t give us any information about her plan. We still know nothing about her, and she came off as incredibly arrogant. I, of course, agree with them. Our two favorite servers wondered why we were taking photos in the restaurant. I told them it was for a blog and I was wearing and Obama shirt every day until the election. They smiled, but said nothing.
